Post-Christmas Blues

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas! My family and I sure did. I am always amazed at how much fun that I have with my crazy family. I am so thankful for them...even though they drive me crazy at times. Neely had a HUGE Christmas. She said that she got everything that she wished for! I sometimes feel guilty that my child has SO much when there are others that have so little. She was really fun this year. She had a million questions about Santa Claus. Seeing Christmas through a child's eyes has been such a blessing for me. These memories are priceless!

I LOVE the time of year between Fall and Christmas because it is filled with my favorite activities. I am always a little sad when I have to start taking down my decorations. I get the Post-Christmas Blues. I do it EVERY year!! This year I am going to try and turn my attitude around. I never make New Year's resolutions, so maybe that will help me to re-focus my attention on something positive! I will post them when I make them. If I make them public, I am much more likely to stick to them. Right?

One last thing...I just have to tell ya'll this funny "Christmas Morning" story. Neely was asking MORE questions about Santa! She wanted to know how Santa got the dollhouse down the chimney. Well, instead of just saying, "It's magic" or something SIMPLE like that....Scott had to go into this tale about the "elves" putting it together when they got it in the house. He told Neely, "I'm pretty sure that I heard them hammering last night". Neely, not missing a beat, says, "Yep! I heard the eleves screwing out here last night too!" Scott, Dad, and I were rolling!! Have a great weekend!!

The Pink Pig from HELL!

Well, the PIG was okay...the wait was STUPID!! Neely and I waited 2 hours to ride in a circle for 4 minutes! Oh well, it was something that I have been wanting to take her to do. Neely thought that it was very fun, so I guess that it was worth it in the end. After driving all the way to Lenox today, I have come to realize that I am NOT a city girl and I have a slight problem with road rage. (Shocker, right?)

Babies! Babies!

I have many friends that are expecting, and two of them had their little ones so far this week! My friends Joy and Brett welcomed Case Samuel to the world on Sunday. My friend Drena and her husband welcomed Oliver this morning. I just love babies!! What awesome Christmas presents! Congratulations to both families. Two down, Seven to go... (There must be something in the water, that's why I drink Diet Coke).

All I want for Christmas...

I can NOT believe that it is so close to Christmas. I still have no idea what to get my Dad!! Any ideas? We have been busy with lots of fun Christmas activities. We went to see Santa at the Mall of Georgia. Neely actually sat on his lap! She told him that she wanted, "Everything that she sees". (Well, that narrows it down...) We have been to two Christmas parades. (If you can consider the one in Social Circle a "parade"). Today we went to a really fun place in Conyers to bake and decorate cookies. I think that I had as much fun as Neely did! I still want to take her to ride the Pink Pig and to Lake Lanier. Maybe we'll make it there. Where has the time gone? We hope that you are all having a wonderful Holiday Season too. Lots of Love from our home to yours!
